Financial Support
Gateway Rescue Mission receives no federal, state, city or United
Way funds. One hundred percent of our support comes from
free-will donations. This support comes primarily from
individuals whom we believe the Holy Spirit burdens with the need to
give.
A second area of support has been through churches who have
recognized that Gateway Rescue Mission is just an extension of their local
ministry. Because
 many churches aren't equipped to perform the
ministry entrusted to our care they nevertheless have recognized their
biblical responsibility and support this ministry with both financial and in-kind
gifts.
The other area
of support comes from local corporations and businesses who want to
help this ministry meet the needs of the city by helping with the
homeless and the needy.
Each year the records of the mission are audited by an independent
certified public accountant and a report is submitted to the Board of
Directors along with the audit. This audit insures the financial
integrity that is expected of a ministry that is entrusted with God's
gifts.
