"A Haven of Rest"

Gateway Rescue Mission exists to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless. People come to us looking for a “haven of rest”. For many, peace and fulfillment seems unobtainable. Yet, Gateway introduces the possibilities of a “new life” based on Jesus Christ.

The first step is to get a good, hot meal in a person's belly. One must be shown the love of God before being told of His love. Food, a hot shower and clean clothes and safe shelter allow the seed of life to be sown. Our desire is to see a broken individual transform into a new person and ultimately re-engage with society and then share God’s love with others.

Gateway Rescue Mission offers life changing hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ to homeless men, women and children through programs to deliver food, shelter, counseling and discipleship.

Jesus ran with the sinners, much to the chagrin of the religious leaders of His day. Lots of sinners come to Gateway Rescue Mission. Naturally, some good religious folk won't come around because of that little fact. But if down deep in your gut, you have a gnawing to be like Jesus, come on down to Gateway Rescue Mission and get your hands dirty doing some street level Gospel work. We'd love to have you, and Jesus would too.

A Christian of yesteryear, C.T. Studd once wrote, "Some wish to live within the sound of church or chapel bell. I wish to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell." At Gateway Rescue Mission, we are a rescue shop within a yard of hell.
